The Page Structure screen is split into three areas. The left hand section provides a number of control palettes for creating and manipulating the page structure. The middle section provides a representation of the structure of the current page, and the right hand section provides a range of data sources, including Database Schemas, W3C Schemas, WSDL files (Service Definition), Templates and Existing Pages. These data sources are typically rendered in XML Schema format and elements can be dragged and dropped on the page to create the page structure.
The middle section, representing the page, is split into two tabs providing different views of the current structure. The Layout View is the default tab and this provides a view of the structure that more closely resembles the layout of the resulting page.
Alternatively, the Tree View tab can be used, which provides a purely hierarchical view of the structure of the current page. This is the same view provided on both the Page Details and Data Bindings pages. Both the Layout View and the Tree View provide similar functionality.
Both views also provide a customised context menu (available by right clicking) to perform some of the common functions.
If a field or group has the conditional hiding option enabled (or conditional disabling for fields), then you will see (?) by the side of the name to indicate that the visibility of that component is not guaranteed. Also, if a field is set to not be generated, then you will see (X) by the side of its name so that you know that the field will never appear in the resulting page.
