The core runtime consists of four main components:
XPlatform.
XEngine.
XGate.
XLog.
XPlatform manages the connectivity between agents at runtime. It also integrates custom engines for specialised tasks, such as transforming EDI formats into XML, or dispatching e-mails.
XEngine is the business rules engine and manages the logic of the application at runtime.
XGate acts as a gateway between software components, such as web services, Hyfinity® XAgents, or Java classes. The configuration of XGate is covered in the Managing Communication Protocols section.
XLog is the platform logging system. The configuration for XLog is contained in the Morphyc file.
