The RuleMaker studio component is used to define the processing that will occur within an application running on the Morphyc Architecture. Morphyc applications are constructed from a series of business patterns containing interacting agents (nodes). These agents are independent entities that send and receive XML documents which they act upon. Each agent contains a processing engine to manipulate the incoming XML information according to a series of rules. This set of rules is called a RuleBase, and they define how a given agent will manipulate its XML data or FactBase. RuleMaker is used to construct and manipulate the RuleBase for each agent in an application. The following image aims to explain this approach.
