When you first start XDE you will be presented with the Available Workspaces screen. You can create and delete workspaces using the New and Delete links. Each application built using XDE is constructed from one or more Projects and many projects may be contained within a single workspace. Once you have created a workspace you can click the workspace to move to the next screen. Depending on the type of installation, you will either see the Application Types screen or the Available Projects screen.
The following sections will describe how we can select an application type if required, followed by the selection of a suitable project to edit using XDE.
