After installation, you can start XDE from the main Windows Menu. A suitable link such as Launch WebMaker Studio should have been created for you by the installer. The exact name of this icon will depend on the application you are using, but XDE will always be the first application that is started. For example you may not need to use the direct startup link for XDE if you are using XDE as part of an integrated third party product. In this scenario you will link to XDE using an appropriate link from that particular application.
XDE is a complex web application, so like other web applications (such as online banking) using the back or forward browser buttons is not recommended. Instead, you should use the navigation links on every page to move around. At the top of most pages, there are tabs to access four main areas of the system, and there will be other page-specific links as needed. There is also a back
button on each page to return to the previous screen.
The most common buttons are:
Back - This button will save any changes made on the current screen, and will return to the previous page.
Save - This button will save any changes made on the current screen, but will remain on the same page.
Cancel - This will undo any changes that were made and remain on the same page.
Every screen also contains a Change Workspace link that provides a shortcut to return to the list of Workspaces.
