This page allows us to enter details about a particular association. It will be shown whenever we try to create a new association, or edit an existing one. Screenshot of XDE Association details page. The top two text boxes allow us to enter a meaningful name and description for this association. These details are displayed as tool tips on the previous screen. The first drop-down will list all of the nodes on our source runtime pattern. This is used to select the source node for this association. The second drop-down shows the nodes in the target runtime pattern, which is used to select the target node for the association. The final control is used to select which action on the target node this association is for. The contents of this list will be updated whenever the target node value is changed. All of these details will be saved upon clicking the Save button. If either our source or target runtime pattern is on an abstract layer, we will not be able to define any of the node or action details. These associations will not be physically created, but are more for modelling purposes.
